Sozopol is one of the most interesting places for the tourists visiting Bulgaria. The city is situated on a narrow peninsula. Sozopol has two gulfs with white sandy beaches, unique atmosphere, great number of accommodation places and very good transport links.

What’s the most interesting news around the city nowadays? It’s the recently found by Bulgarian archaeologists sarcophagus containing the bones of John the Baptist. The box for relics, was found embedded in an altar at the ruins of a fifth-century monastery on Sveti Ivan (which means St. John) – small Black Sea island close to Sozopol.

Few days ago, the relics (part of an arm bone, a skull bone, and a tooth) were transferred to St. George Church in Sozopol downtown where they were laid in state.

“All The Rest” clinched the Top Rent A Car classic derby and set a new goalscoring record with a sensational destruction of the agent team at the Sea Garden Football Fields. The final result is Rental Agents: 0, All The Rest: 5!

“The Rest”was given the best possible start by Plamen in the first minutes. For the next 10 minutes they gave their fans some anxious moments. The game changed on a nice attack on the half-hour when Niki Raykov was clearly brought down by “The Agents” defender Daniel. Drago scored the free kick. In the 30th minute the title was sealed as Plamen and Rodi combined and Drago almost walk the ball into the net.

Two minutes later All The Rest’s fans were in dreamland when a cross from Drago was volleyed home at the far post by Niki Raykov. Few minutes later in the 63rd minute the Ivan rose highest at the far post to head Drago’s cross into the net and make it 5-0.

This phenomenal football game was played at Varna Sea Garden football fields. The team of “All the rest” got off to the perfect start when Niki Raykov gave them the lead in the first minute and things looked ominous for “The rental agents” as Gyursel Ismailov doubled the advantage 5 minutes later.

But “The Agents” did not let their heads drop and they scored twice in the first half. However, “All the rest” didn’t miss a free-kick towards Momchil’s door and they had an advantage of one goal. After few minutes they doubled the advantage again and everything seemed like the game will end up 2:4 for “All the rest”, but…

The last 5 minutes was crucial for “All the rest” when the goalkeeper Momchil and the striker Ventsi scored for a draw and in the last minute Margarita headed the ball to Todor Todorov, who nodded the ball into the net.

The return game will be played in couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

If the alfresco theatre post wasn’t quite your thing, try these drive in cinemas and open air screens across the UK.

Screenfields, Manchester
This epically good outdoor screen has a ram packed schedule of alfresco films this summer. Screenings are free and you can bring your own picnic rug or hire deckchairs (£2) and picnic blankets (£4) from the venue. If you fancy a film today, Control is being screened, though films are programmed until September 9 and range from Up and Borat to Pretty Woman and Moulin Rouge.

Starlite Urban Drive In, London
The Old Truman Brewery is set to host its first drive in this summer (July 2 and 3), packing the car park with new Volvo cars. Film buffs can expect screenings of Twilight and Grease… all you need to do it switch on the car radio, hail down one of the roller-skating, retro waitresses and sit back with a carton of popcorn. Tickets are £25 and go on sale two weeks before the event.

Hatton, Warwick
This lovely country pub punches well above its weight with crowd-pulling events all year around. The summer sees them set up a big screen in the garden and invite punters to relax with a pint in front of a classic movie. This year, the flicks of choice are Grease and Footloose so be prepared for plenty of sing-a-long fun.

The Trentham Estate, Stoke On Trent
This gorgeous estate – complete with house, gardens, woodland, a monkey forest and even a shopping village – lays on excellent alfresco films come summer. Pitch up with a rug and a picnic in July for Dirty Dancing or The Italian Job, and August for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland.

The Tempest at Cardiff Castle
